K-Tech was awarded Business of the Year by Sebastopol's Chamber of Commerce for our work with the Car Giveaway (see our news archive). Only one business receives this award each year, and it is a great honor. Our team looks forward to many more years of serving our community through helping to keep our streets safe by keeping our cars safe. Thank you everyone!

K-Tech Automotive is happy to announce that the winner of our Car Giveaway contest is Ms. Dani Burlison. Dani is a single mother of 2 children, a writer, and local activist. She has been actively involved in Food Not Bombs in addition to other non-profit causes. Dani teaches writing to at-risk youth as well as setting up workshops for prison inmates. You can learn more about her at her website! K-Tech Automotive chose Dani from 100 recipients in great part due to her extensive community service. As the owner of K-Tech, I personally respect that she does so much with so little, and has been so active despite having reliable transportation. I think about how much more she will bring to the community now that she has a car.

You may have seen these fliers for our Car Giveaway around town - Free to Good Home. The impetus behind this is the fact that I want to improve someone's life and ability to serve the community through transportation. A blue 1994 Honda Civic with a 12-month maintenance package will be given away this September to a deserving individual in the community. I'll pay registration and smog costs. The recipient will pay operating costs including gas and insurance. Nominees need to be in by August 31, 2012 to be considered.
